On the afternoon of April 8, 2024, a high-level symposium with the theme of "Construction of Accounting and Auditing discipline in the Age of numerical Wisdom" was successfully held in Conference Room 815 of the Teaching Book Complex Building on Xueyuan Road Campus of China University of Political Science and Law. The symposium was chaired by Professor Yin Meiqun, Vice Dean of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law, and Professor Xu Yude, Vice dean of the Chinese Academy of Financial Sciences and expert of the Business Administration Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council, was invited to attend. The participants also included Professor Yang Shizhong, Distinguished Professor of Business School of China University of Political Science and Law, Professor Shang Wenjiang, Dean of Business School, Li Xinyu, Secretary of Party Committee of Business School, Lecturer He Ding, Deputy Director of Financial Accounting Department of Business School, Associate Professor Yu Yuying, Lecturer Liang Jianqiao and Lecturer Liu Yue, teachers of Financial Accounting Department, and representatives of master and doctoral students.

At the beginning of the meeting, Li Xinyu, secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, delivered a warm welcome speech and expressed sincere thanks to the experts attending the meeting.

Subsequently, Professor Yang Shizhong published a report with the theme of "High-quality economic and social Development Calls for Composite audit professionals", which in-depth analyzed the key characteristics of high-quality development in the new era and stressed the urgency and importance of training new audit talents.

Then, Professor Yin Meiqun introduced the latest progress of the construction of accounting and auditing discipline in the Business school, and elaborated on the history of the discipline, teaching and research achievements, academic resource platform and internship platform.

After the wonderful reports of the two professors, Professor Xu Yude spoke highly of the construction achievements of the Department of Financial Accounting of the Business School and put forward valuable guidance on the construction of teaching staff, the incentive of scientific research results, and the training of graduate students. These suggestions are concrete and highly operable and have important guiding significance for the future development of our school of Business.

The meeting came to an end in the concluding speech of the dean of the Business school, Shang Wenjiang. President Shang expressed his sincere thanks to Professor Xu Yude for his guidance and stressed the importance of strengthening the construction of accounting and auditing disciplines. He said that the business school will actively respond to the needs of The Times, continue to increase investment, and make greater contributions to training more professional, solid and reliable interdisciplinary talents.
